He had siblings Henrietta Mabel (Bartlett) Smith, Annie Elizabeth (Bartlett) Mcgregor, James Arthur Bartlett, Calvert Forrest Bartlett, Ivan Lewis Bartlett, Nellie Ollie Bartlett, Chester Eugene Bartlett, Clara Emily (Bartlett) Mcsweeney, Arthur Charles Bartlett, Henry John Bartlett, and Ruby Isabella Bartlett Prince. Frank Bartlett died at age 81 years old on September 17, 1979 in Camperdown.

In 1897, in the year that Frank Everitt Bartlett was born, in the January 22nd issue of "Engineering", the word "computer" was first used to refer to a mechanical calculation device. Previously - since the 17th century - the term computer meant "one who computes" and referred to human beings who worked with numbers.

In 1903, he was just 6 years old when the silent film, The Great Train Robbery opened. Although it was filmed in Milltown, New Jersey, it was a Western. Twelve minutes long, the film used a lot of innovative techniques - some scenes were hand colored and composite editing, on-location shooting, and frequent camera movement were used. Its budget was $150 (about $4000 currently) and was the most popular film until 1915 when Birth of a Nation was released.
