Children of Grant & Sylvia Hill circa 1930: My uncle Fred (right), Aunt Roena (center), & my father, Grant "Junior" Hill (left), were the children of Grant Sr & Sylvia Mae (Longmire) Hill. Fred, the eldest of 3, was born May 13, 1924, Roena Frances was born Sept. 28, 1925, and Grant on May 11, 1928 in Soldiers Grove, Crawford Co, WI. Fred married Helen McClurg in Vernon county and had 2 daughters. Roena married Raymond Wagner and settled in Minneapolis, MN. They had 4 children.Grant married Jewell Miller in North Chicago, IL on Nov. 1, 1952. They had 5 children. Fred's passing was on Sept. 28, 1983 and he is buried in the Viroqua, Vernon Co, WI Cemetery. Roena died Aug. 18, 2007, and is buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.Grant Jr passed away July 19, 2002 and is buried at North Clayton Cemetery, Soldiers Grove, Crawford Co, WI.

Sylvia Mae (Longmire) Hill, daughter of George & Dora (Copus) Longmire and wife of Grant Hill Sr, was born Sept. 18, 1905 in Crawford County, She married Grant Nov. 29, 1923 and they lived out their lives in Soldiers Grove, where Grant was village constable for many years. Sylvia died April 12, 1989 and is buried with Grant & son Grant Jr at North Clayton Cemetery, Soldiers Grove, Crawford Co, WI.
