Frederic Leake died at age 84 years old on July 8, 2000 in Beaufort, Beaufort County, SC, and was buried at Beaufort National Cemetery Section 60 Site 125 1601 Boundary Street, in Beaufort.

    Frederic served in the military during World War 2. He wed twice: 1st in July 1942 in Charleston, W.V. to Frances Dean Reed ( later divorced ) and had 2 children. He wed 2nd on Feb.20,1956 to Frances Ann Detamore, b. Dec.9,1920 > U.S.A. < Sept.20,1995 and had 1 child by his 2nd wife and adopted another child. This writer had a chance to talk with him by phone and he had an interest in the family genealogy. He had a plain and clear speaking voice.
