Hi, I found a little information that you probably already know.
The Southey in the name is from Katherine Adams grandfather
English poet Robert Southey ( Goldilocks etc.)
I think Geoff was troubled after the death of his mother, when he was only 18 or 19
he was arrested for vagrancy and stealing in Queenstown Tas.
His 2 brothers Harry and David were in the armed forces in WW2
David passed away up in Cairns.
I will try and find out more.

I'm sorry cant find anything after he disappeared, must be very frustrating for you.
Police searched for 3 months, said he may have gone back to Tasmania, and
he had some kind of memory loss.
