Curtis Beitans Not the same James Drysdale. A quiet wedding took place at the residence of Mr.and Mrs.Wills,Bulga on Tuesday last,when Mr.James Drysdale,of Tinamba,was married to Miss Francis Wills.. The bride was given away by her brother,Mr.Edward Wills. The Traralgon Record 28 Friday 28 May 1915.

Curtis Beitans There is a Tolley road at Ripplebrook -(South of Drouin).Sam Tolley opened the Longwarry South Post Office in 1882. Sam and Elizabeth came to Australia from England on the S.S.Great Britain in 1857 They mined for gold in Ballarat and farmed at Warrenheip.In 1876 they moved to Longwarry and ran a dairy farm.

Curtis Beitans It seems David was adopted by the Shatwell family after his mother Amelia Emily Drysdale (nee Cairns) died whilst giving birth in 1864. His adoptive parents were- Sarah Ann Shatwell and William Edward Shatwell.They lived in Barkly street Mordialloc.Sarah died in 1895 aged 75.William died in 1893 aged 69,they are both buried in the Old Cheltenham Cemetery.There was a court case in 1864 on the death of Emily Drysdale, the nurse looking after Emily was put on a manslaughter charge for neglect of duty.It took place in Hotham Court which is now called North Melbourne.

V BLOWFIELD-Maintenance.- An application by Sarah Ann Blowfield,against James Blowfield, shoemaker, Macquarie street, for maintenance. Mr. D'Emden appeared for complainant. Sarah Ann Blowfield,complainant, sworn, said : I was married to defendant on 9th of January last, but am now living with Mrs. Pearson, in the Cascade Road. Defendant and myself had had quarrels before Tuesday last, but not on that day. On that day my husband sent me out to get some leather,and when I returned I found the door locked, and was told that defendant had taken away a dray load of furniture from the house; I saw my husband there then.On Wednesday morning I went to the door and knocked, ut he would not open the door; he told me through the window to be off, and that I should never darken his door again.I asked for my clothes, and he told me he would give them to me when it suited him and not before.
