Samantha Relief Kinne Fleming
I have an old studio photograph of Samantha KINNE which was taken at the D. O. Furnald Studio in Manchester, NH. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1860's or 1870's with Samantha appearing to be in her 20's or 30's at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Samantha and her family:
Samantha Relief KINNE was b. 16 Sept 1842 in Hanover Township, Grafton Co., NH, to parents John Miller KINNE (1814-1886) and Susan Achsah BLAKE (1816 or 1818-1853). Samantha Relief was one of 9 children born to this couple including Achsah Celina; Betsey or Betsy Cordelia; Kezia George; Samantha Relief; John Wesley; Susan Wentworth; Jesse Blake KINNE, all born between 1826 and 1848. After her mother died her father remarried and three additional children were born including, Flora; Belle Leafy; and Luella “Lue” E. KINNE, all born between 1855 and 1862.
Samantha married William D. FLEMING (1841-1902) on 4 May 1869 in Manchester, NH and she died in 1921 in Grafton County, NH and is buried in the Glenwood Cemetery in Lebanon, NH.
