He had siblings Jessie Hasthorpe Cooper, Susan Hasthorpe, Esther Ellen Hasthorpe, Reginald Murray Hasthorpe, Joseph Samuel Hasthorpe, Milton Hasthorpe, Victoria Lydia May Hasthorpe, Arthur John Hasthorpe, Emily (Hasthorpe) Logan, John Jesse Hasthorpe, and May Queen Victoria (Hasthorpe) Griffin. He married Marie Albertina (Gooding) Hasthorpe in 1907, and had children Marie Esther May Hasthorpe and Arthur William Harvey Hasthorpe. George Hasthorpe died at age 74 years old on October 28, 1952 in WA.
