2 Memories, Stories & Photos about George

George William Taylor
George William Taylor
I have an old studio photograph of George W. TAYLOR which was taken at the Lind Studio in Marinette, WI. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's with George appearing to be in his 40's or 50's at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding George and his family:

George William TAYLOR was b. 31 Mar 1855 in Wenham, MA to parents Jeremiah D. TAYLOR (1817-1898) and Elizabeth PRIDE (1826-1904). George was one of 7 children born to this couple including Mary Cleveland or Cleaveland; Matilda; Annie T.; Oliver Alden; George William; Martha Anna; and John A. TAYLOR, all born between 1845 and 1858.

George’s father was married previously and had 10 other children including, William; Evan; Nancy; Elizabeth; Jane; Jane; Wiley C. “Coot”; Jack; Peter; Amos Dennis; Pane; and Abigail Minerva TAYLOR.

George married Ella Francis CASE (1864-1932) on 16 Mar 1882 in Cook County, IL and they had two children including George Irving TAYLOR (1884-1885) and John Case TAYLOR (1886-1921). George died 27 Jan 1931 in Burlington, Ontario, Canada and is buried in the Graceland Cemetery in Chicago, IL.

I’d like to get this photograph to George’s family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
