He had siblings Mary Ann (Walters) Hall, Maria Albina (Walters) Leversha, Henry Walters, and Emily Jane Walters Leversha. He married Jane Ann Hogarth Walters in 1881, and had children Arthur Walters, Mary Walters, Emily Walters, Henry Walters, Margaret Walters, Ann Walters, Maria Walters, and Marie Walters. George Walters died at age 61 years old on October 8, 1917 in Castlemaine.
