We All called him "Tommy"
In the summer of 1974... I stayed the summer with Tommy and Barbara, along with my son Steven Wayne Finley (2-29-1972). Tommy was driving truck for TG&Y at the time, so we didn't see much of him. I was about 17 and had been struggling for the past few years, financially. Sometimes we depended on what was called "Commodities" and rarely able to buy things we wanted.
Barbara took me to the grocery store to shop for the family groceries. Kim and Paula were the only children they had at that time. Barbara did not inspect each price on each item and I was so impressed that Tommy would make enough money to make that happen. They were buying a home in Montgomery, Alabama and he seemed to be a very good provider.
I had been married to Tommy's half-brother, Clinton Bill Finley(6-2-1951) but ended up divorcing when Steven was an infant.
