He married Georgina Rose Chapman on December 14, 2007 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut and they later divorced in 2021 in New York City, New York County. They had children India Pearl Weinstein and Dashiell Max Robert Weinstein.

    Harvey's mother was Miriam Weinstein, his father was Max. He has sibling Bob. Their father was a diamond cutter. He, brother Bob, and Corky Burger at first produced rock concerts as Harvey & Corky Productions in the 1970s. Using the profits from Harvey & Corky, Bob and Harvey created Miramax, a film company named after their parents. They sold Miramax to Disney in 1993 for $80 million while they remained heads of the company but they left Miramax in 2005 and formed The Weinstein Company. Harvey was fired from the company in 2017 after he was accused (and later convicted of some) of "a laundry list of sexual abuse charges". and they were forced into bankruptcy. Some of the films produced since 1990: Harvey Weinstein: Professions In December of 2007, he married Georgina Rose Chapman in Connecticut. Currently (as of 2022), Harvey is incarcerated at Wende Correctional Facility awaiting a second trial in Los Angeles CA. He has been convicted of 1 count of third-degree rape and 1 count of criminal sexual assault in the 1st degree
