James Fanton was buried on January 12, 2005 at Lakeview Cemetery 5344 David Gray Hill Rd, in Geneseo, Livingston County.

    The following appeared 10-Jan-2005 in the Democrat & Chronicle (Rochester, NY): FANTON, JAMES E. : Mendon, N.Y.: January 8, 2005. Survived by his wife Ruth of 56 years; 2 sons, Kenneth (Dolores) and David (predeceased wife Gina) Fanton; 2 Grandsons, Michael, Nathan Fanton; several nieces and nephews. Jimmy was a life member of the V.F.W. Pittsford post 11118 and also served overseas in WWII. Friends are invited to call Tuesday 2-4, 7-9 at the Merton Kays Funeral Home, 59 Monroe St., Honeoye Falls. Services will be held Wednesday at 4:00 P.M. at the Honeoye Falls United Methodist Church, 31 East Street, Honeoye Falls. Friends wishing may contribute to the H.F.U.M.C Memorial Fund in memory of Jimmy.
