James Robert Simons of Maldon Australia was born in 1840 in Adelaide, SA to Pleasant Tupper Simons and William Slade Simons. He had a brother Charles Thomas Simons. He married Elizabeth Collison Simons in 1878, and had children James Robert Simons, Thomas Simons, and Leila May Simons. James Simons died at age 61 years old in 1901 in Fentons Creek, Loddon Shire County, VIC.
