Jane (Norkett) Unthank was born in 1832 in Horsham, West Sussex County, England United Kingdom to Thomas Norkett and Martha (Leamy) Norkett. She married William Unthank, and they had children Lydia (Unthank) Renouf and Joseph Unthank. She also married Edward Twyford, and they had children Arthur Twyford, Edward Twyford, John Thomas Twyford, Alexander William Twyford, and Ellen Twyford. Jane Unthank died at age 88 years old on July 17, 1921 in Somerville, Mornington Peninsula Shire County, VIC Australia.
