My Great Grandparents are in this photo. Jessie Davis married Jacob Long and they met at Abington Hospital Pennsylvania where they were both working. They bought a house in Jeffersonville Pennsylvania and raised a family of Four. The date on photo says 1951.

My great Grandmother Jessie (Davis) Long with 2 Other ladies at Abington Hospital. Not sure of date. I do know Nurses had their own dinning room at that time. It was at the hospital that Jessie met her future husband Jacob Nyce Long.

My Great Grandmother Jessie Long
Jessie Althea Blanche Davis Long born on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts and lived there as a child. Moved with her sister to Connecticut when her parents died. She Met my Great Grandfather Jacob Nyce Long when they both worked at Abington Hospital in Pennsylvania. Her father was Frank Davis who owned a Ship Building company in New London Connecticut. He is mentioned in “The Whaling City,” a book written by Robert Owen Decker.
