Jim Lewis & railroad buddy
Jim Lewis & railroad buddy
A photo of Uncle Jim Lewis and a railroad buddy. When Uncle Jim wasn't working on the RR he spent his time going to dances, Fairs, Fights, & went camping, fishing, & hunting. 'Our conductor Chase is married & we were at his house & had all the popcorn we could eat & she sang & played the organ for us We had a pretty good time' My mother grieved over his death the rest of her life. He used to take care of them & it was such a shock when he was killed. She didn't like to talk about the past because his name would come up & she would cry.
