Jurgis was baptized at Is Stauliu dekanato Siauliu sv. Povilo ir Povilo baznycios in Kauno, Arkivyskupija County Lietuvos Respublika. Jurgis Timinskas died in 1917 in Tsarskoe Selo Russia, and was buried circa 1917 at Serafimouskol Cemetery in Northwestern Saint Petersburg, Primorsky District County.

  • Military Service

    He was a Hussar and was drafted into the Russian Army as a Cavalry Officer and became a Russian Imperial Guard in the Lithuanian regiment (aka Leib Guard). There were always at least 12 guards at any given time. He was shot in the line of duty during the Russian Revolution while accompanying the Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna on a carriage ride in 1917. His uniform included a tall black hat along with a very tight jacket, which was usually worn draped over the shoulder. The trim was a bright yellow gold cording on the shoulder boards and on the regimental crest. He carried a curved saber. Jurgis held the rank of Khorunzhiy (sub-lieutenant). His brother Stanley had the photographs of Jurgis in full military uniform on horseback.
