  • Introduction

    He was my son, my first born, he was my mini me, and I miss him. He was bright, funny, and loved people. He loved baseball, and his Astros of course. Plus nascar, hiphop music, genealogy and learning from elderly family. His pride and joy was his dog and his truck. He worked at Tejas Campers, the family business and he knew the inventory and customers loved dealing with him. He and I were very close and was by his side through his struggles. Drugs at 17, but he beat it, but each struggle he faced took a toll. Alcohol was the one thing he just couldnt control or beat. Ultimately, just hours after learning of Robin Williams death, he chose to follow his lead. I found him in his room after he had taken his life exactly copying Robin's exit. The best part of me died with him. But he was so much more than how he died. I want him to be remembered for how he lived. I am honored to have been his mother, even if only for 28yrs. Even with the trauma Im left with. As mom, I would do anything to take away any pain from my children. Justin is no longer in any pain, he is in heaven, happy, and with many who loved him. I am left holding his pain. I'm ok with that. My pain has purpose and that lessens it's grip. Thank you, please say my sons name from time to time, so he is remembered.
