Kevin Jay Lewis was born on October 7, 1954 to Hazel Jean "Jean" (Leach) Lewis and Troy James Lewis, and had siblings Keith James Lewis, Cynthia Jean (Lewis) Lain, Cheryl Joyce (Lewis) Tucker, and Kent Jackson Lewis. He was the father of Thomas Lewis and Charly Louise (Lewis) Lehlbach. Kevin Lewis died at age 59 years old on October 15, 2013.

    Lewis, Kevin Jay 59. Went to his final resting place Tuesday, October 15, 2013. Beloved son of Troy and Jean Lewis; Proud father of Thomas Lewis and Charly (Mick) Lehlbach; Loving brother, nephew, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, great uncle and friend to all. Services: A celebration of life will be held at Covenant Community Church 1351 Shepley Dr, St. Louis, MO 63137 on Oct. 19th between 3-4:30 with a service at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider the needs of the family. The ruling stated that state laws establishing separate public schools for black and white students was unconstitutional thus paving the way for integration in schools.
