Two Kenner Men Accused in Friend's Death
Kenner, Louisiana (AP) - A Kenner man shot Kevin Miller, 22, of Metairie, several times in the back and head, and got a friend to help dump the body on a roadside in St. John the Baptist Parish, authorities said Wednesday. Kenneth Williams, 17, was booked with second-degree murder and Melvin Ratcliff, 21, as an accessory to the crime, said Kenner Police spokesman Steve Caraway.
He said Miller's body was found Wednesday just off the shoulder of an Interstate 10 exit in St. John. Chief Nick Congemi said Kenner police learned about the shooting early Wednesday, when Ratcliff showed up at headquarters and told police that Williams had shot Miller after a brief argument while driving on I-10. Ratcliff said he decided to tall police because he was afraid Williams would come in and implicate him, according to Congemi.
