Edward & Malvina SEARLS
Edward & Malvina SEARLS
I have in my possession an old photograph of Edward SEARLS and Malvina SEARLS which is dated 4 Jul 1911. Edward and Malvina appear to be in their 50's or 60's at the time the photograph was taken. There is no studio or location identified on the photograph. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding the couple and this family:

Malvina Alice KENNEDY was b. 27 Oct 1851 in Waupaca, WI to parents Joseph Belden KENNEDY (1822-1891) and Emily BEALS (1829-1903). Malvina had one sibling, a sister Viola L. KENNEDY WILSON (1846-1929). Malvina married Edward James SEARLS (1842-1930) in 1870 and they had 6 children including Hanford Gideon; Viola Emily; Beldin or Belden Rose; Sarah Melvina or Malvina; Benjamin Harrison; and Olive Sybil SEARLS, all born between 1871 and 1892. Malvina died 19 Jul 1933 in Castle Rock, WA and is buried in the Silver Lake Cemetery in Silver Lake, WA.

Edward James SEARLS was b. 18 Jun 1842 in Long Settlement, King, New Brunswick, Canada to parents Edward Rose SEARLES (1807-1881) and Sarah WOODIN (1819-1897) who were married 24 Jun 1834 in Saint Andrews, Charlotte, New Brunswick, Canada. Edward was one of 5 children born to this couple including Elizabeth; Edward James; Horace Rose; Sibyl; and Hanford SEARLES, all born between 1838 and 1861. Edward died 12 Dec 1930 in Castle Rock, WA and is buried in the Silver Lake Cemetery along with his wife.

I am hoping to get this photograph back to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
