Mary Alice (Quinn) Duke of 608 Ave I, in Lacy Lakeview, McLennan County, Texas United States was born on May 3, 1917 in Williamson County to William Lowe Quinn and Ora Mae (Curtis) Quinn. She had siblings Claude Freeman Quinn, Willie Eugene Quinn(Gene), Gladys Lee (Quinn) Griffin, Edgar Raymond Quinn, Olga Mae (Quinn) Petty(Mae), and Thomas Aubrey Quinn. She married Jefferson Harrison Duke on September 2, 1932 in Rosebud, Falls County, TX, and they were married until Jefferson's death on March 25, 1992 in Waco, McLennan County. She had children Donald Harrison Duke, Billy Jack Duke, Edgar Wayne Duke, Bobby Joe Duke Sr, Claude Allen Duke, Alice Janette (Duke) Mears, Larry Gene Duke, Linda Sue (Duke) Howard, and Lesa Ann Duke. Mary Duke died at age 81 years old on December 15, 1998 in Lacey Lakeview, McLennan County, TX, and was buried on December 18, 1998 at Waco Memorial Park I-35, in Waco.

    My mama was named after the sister of her Papa(father). They shared the name Mary Alice Quinn. Most of her family called her Mary Alice. Above it said she was the mother of 10 but it should be mother of 9!

It was at a family home after a funeral. The lady in the middle was my mother Mary Alice Quinn Duke. Her sister Mae Quinn Petty is in the blue dress. Her sister Gladys Quinn Griffin is the other lady.

So the picture is old and changing colors. Her neck looks red & eyes look like black eyes(though on my snapshots it still looks nice & no black eyes) My parents went to their son-in-law mother church on picture day & got a picture together because my sister asked them to take a picture.
