I have in my possession an old photograph of Mary E. JOHNSON YATES ROWE who was the wife of H. C. ROWE. The photograph was taken at the Walker Studio in Philadelphia, PA sometime in the 1880’s most likely. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Mary and her family:

Mary E. JOHNSON was b. June 1865 or 1868 to parents John Price JOHNSON (1831-1906) and Ellen HEIMBACK. Mary was married to Henry C. ROWE (1863-1939) on 11 Mar 1888 in Philadelphia, PA. The couple had three children including Harry Clay; Clara; and James Morris ROWE, all born between 1889 and 1907. Mary died on 25 Jun 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA and is buried in the Lawnview Cemetery in Rockledge, PA.

Her husband Henry Clay ROWE was b. Nov 1863 in Pennsylvania to James Morris ROWE (1835-1878) and Caroline Marie HARRIGAN (1836-1917). Henry was one of 8 children born to this couple including Clara Eleanora; Henry Clay; George G.; Charles Edward; George G. II; James Morris; William M.; and Sarah E. ROWE, all born between 1860 and 1878. Henry died 22 Oct 1939 in Philadelphia, PA.

I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that this beautiful old photograph can be returned to family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
