    Mary Elizabeth Walser Coats-Temple BIRTH 13 Aug 1877 Montague County, Texas, USA DEATH 18 May 1951 (aged 73) Olney, Young County, Texas, USA BURIAL Eastview Memorial Park Vernon, Wilbarger County, Texas, USA PLOT Block 1, lot 53 MEMORIAL ID 31389317 ยท View Source Wife of Benjamin Franklin (Bear) Coats; daughter of George Washington & Sarah Jane (Blaylock) Walser. Wife of second husband, John Thomas Temple. Olney, TX, 1951 Joint funeral services for Mrs. & Mrs. John Thomas Temple, victims of the Olney tornado were conducted from the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Temple, 67, was found dead about a block south of their demolished home, 1007 West Oak Street, and her husband John Temple, died two hours later in the Hamilton hospital of head injuries. Rev. Erwin Reed, pastor of the Olney First Baptist Churck and Rev. Strickland, pastor of the Medlan's Chapel Primitive Bastist Church officiated. Mrs. Temple was buried in Vernon, Texas. Mrs. Temple was survived by: five sons-James C. Coats of Irving, Oscar C. and Olin Coats of Vernon, Chester Coats of Lynwood, CA; daughter-Mrs. Vivian Cribbs of Chillicothe; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren
