Obituary

AZLE - Maudallen Young Sandford, 83, a real estate broker and homemaker, died Monday at a Fort Worth hospital. Mrs. Sandford was born in Fort Worth on Feb. 27, 1912, and graduated from Central High School. She attended Texas Christian University and the University of Oklahoma, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. In 1950 she moved to Azle, where she later became a real estate agent and broker. She was a former president of the Azle Garden Club and a former member of Broadway Baptist Church. She was a current member of Azle Christian Church. Her husband of 56 years, Charles "Sandy" Sandford, died in 1993. The family expresses appreciation to the staff members of the West Side Care Center in Fort Worth for their care and attention to Mrs. Sandford during the past two years. Survivors: Two sons, Allen Bryan Sandford of Azle, and Charles William Sandford Jr. and his wife, Karen, of Houston; grandchildren, Susan Sandford, Marcie Sandford, and Elizabeth Snitz and her husband, Ed, all of Houston, and James Sandford and his wife, Merrily, of Burnsville, Minn.; and one great-grandson, Tommy Snitz of Houston.
