Myrl Juadean Hanes was a practicing architect in Gainesville from the 1950s to the 1970s. He joined the American Institute of Architects in 1952, and was sponsored by Sanford Goin and Jack Moore. Hanes employed Dan Branch and David Reaves, and is listed as a contributor on the Gainesville City Hall building and the Dan Branch House. Hanes was Mayor of Gainesville from 1958-59 and presided over important zoning and regulation changes.
