Cherokee Indian ?
This is a picture of Nancy Ann Hamilton d/o Edward Hamilton. Nancy died in 1881. She is supposed to be of Cherokee Indian lineage. She married James W. Gibson in 1864.

Does anyone have an Indian connection with the Hamiltons?

We were always told we were of Indian descent. My father is a Hamilton and I have been trying to find information on a Leonard Arthur Hamilton born 7/04/1894 and his parents, brothers & sisters etc... The Census found them in and around the Chickasaw Nation in Oklahoma. If you have any information on this side of the Hamiltons it would be greatly appreciated. The picture definitly looks like members of our family. Thank You for your time.

Cherokee Indian ?
Nancy Ann Hamilton, supposed to be a Cherokee Indian. She was born 9 Jun 1836 in Illinois. Died 27 Jun 1881 in Illinois. She married James W. Gibson 3 Sep 1864. Their daughter, Lourella Tiora Gibson, married James Z. Barnett. (Pictue already on site.)

Does anyone have any information on an indian connection in the Barnett line?

I may have some pictures that may be connected but I am not positive. I do have Indian in my family my grand father was Cherokee. I do not have any pictures
