MATRICULATION EXAMINATION. - FEBRUARY TERM, 1880. PASSED.-... Patrick Francis Fynn, William Henry Fynn, private tuition (Mr. J. Thom, Kilmore); ... (The Australasian (Melbourne, Vic Saturday 13 March 1880 p.3) LOCAL INTELLIGENCE We have much pleasure in noticing that Mr. P. F. Fynn, son of our respected townsman, Mr. John Fynn, has successfully passed the entrance examination of the University of Dublin, attaining a place in the honours list. This excellent performance of the young gentleman is not only highly creditable to himself, but speaks well for the teaching he received here whilst under the charge of Mr. Thom. (Kilmore Free Press (Kilmore, Vic) Thursday 16 December 1880 p.2) DEATHS FYNN.- On the 24th September, at Alexandra, Frank Fynn, clerk of courts, Yea and Alexandra. R.I.P. (The Australasian (Melbourne, Vic) Saturday 2 October 1897 p.55) PERAMBULATOR. Mr Frank Fynn, whom I knew since childhood, and who had been some time clerk of courts at Yea, died recently after a lingering illness. Deceased was son of a once prominent resident of Kilmore, the late Mr John Fynn, J.P., and after receiving primary training locally was sent to the old country to complete his education. He was a young man of many excellent parts and much regret his demise at the early age of 30 (sic) years. He was brother to Mr James Fynn, solicitor, Yea. (Kilmore Free Press (Kilmore, Vic.)
