He married Caroline (Thorne) Anderson, and had children Rhoda Caroline (Anderson) Andreassen, Christina Beatrice (Anderson) Swords, Isabella Grace (Anderson) Meth, George Richard Anderson, and Leslie Oliver Anderson. Peter Anderson died at age 83 years old on August 3, 1921 in Dandenong, Greater Dandenong City County, VIC Australia, and was buried at Dandenong Community Cemetery Kirkham Rd, in Dandenong.
