Rachel was born at McKillop Street, Geelong on 11 May 1859. Birth register number 199, in the District of Geelong, Victoria under Schedule A. Rachel married Charles James Morey on 11 March, 1879 in Levuka, Ovalau Island, Fiji. She died at Ellington Estate, Raki Raki, Vana Levu, Fiji on 15 October, 1888 and was buried on her fathers property 'Tokalana', North Tailevu, Vana Levu, Death Certificate Number 111710. Rachel was survived by her husband and five children. Her children were Harold Whalley Morey; Mary Ellen Agnes; Charles Eric, Rachel Isabel, Hugh Clifford Whalley; she and Charles also had one son still born. Rachel died of Phthisis ( an archaic name for tuberculosis).
