He married Beatrice (Best) Harrison. He also married Frances Elizabeth (Lardner) Harrison, and they had children George William Harrison, Margaret (Harrison) Mayall, Brian Usher Harrison, and Rhys Priarman Harrison. George Harrison died at age 83 years old on March 27, 1954 in Campbell Town, Northern Midlands Council County, Tasmania, and was buried in Oatlands Cemetery, Southern Midlands Council County.
