Frances Elizabeth (Lardner) Harrison of Maryborough, Central Goldfields Shire County, VIC Australia was born in 1875 in Homebush, Pyrenees Shire County to William Lardner and Margaret (Inglis) Lardner. She had siblings William James Lardner, Ebenezer Lardner, John Stafford Lardner, Margaret Maria (Lardner) Grant, Sarah Louisa (Lardner) Brown, Albert Thomas "Dick" Lardner, Henry Fisher Lardner, and Jane (Lardner) Rowland. She married Rev. George Edward Harrison, and had children George William Harrison, Margaret (Harrison) Mayall, Brian Usher Harrison, and Rhys Priarman Harrison. Frances Harrison died at age 31 years old on September 22, 1907 in Maryborough, Central Goldfields Shire County.

HARRISON ( nee Lardner ). - On the 22nd September, at her mother's residence, Burns-street, Maryborough, Frances Elizabeth, the dearly beloved wife of George E. Harrison, Presbyterian Theological student, of 15 Stuart-street, Moonee Ponds, aged 32 years.

In 1875, in the year that Frances Elizabeth (Lardner) Harrison was born, on February 18th, the Mason County War, also called the Hoodoo War, began. In central Texas, a German-American mob broke into a jail with a battering ram and lynched two suspected cattle rustlers. Thus began a year of vigilante "justice."

In 1886, Frances was merely 11 years old when on May 4th, a general strike began in Chicago. Workers were striking for an 8 hour workday and in protest of the killing - by police - of several workers the day before. When an unknown person threw a dynamite bomb, the strike became violent. Seven policemen were killed as well as 4 civilians. It became known as the Haymarket Riot and eventually resulted in an 8 hourwork day as well as commemorations on May 1st for worker's rights.
