She was in a relationship with William Lardner, and had children Jane (Lardner) Rowland, William James Lardner, John Stafford Lardner, Margaret Maria (Lardner) Grant, Ebenezer Lardner, Henry Fisher Lardner, Frances Elizabeth (Lardner) Harrison, Sarah Louisa (Lardner) Brown, and Albert Thomas "Dick" Lardner. Margaret Lardner died at age 83 years old on April 10, 1921 in Maryborough, Central Goldfields Shire County, VIC Australia.

LARDNER.- On the 10th April, at Maryborough, Margaret, relict of the late William Lardner, Homebush, and loving mother of Jeanie, ( Mrs. Rowland, Mildura ), Mary ( Mrs. Curtis ), Jessie ( Mrs. Derrick ), Maggie ( Mrs. Grant ), Fanny ( Mrs. Harrison, deceased ), Sarah ( Mrs. Brown ), Eb, ( Canterbury ), Henry ( Ararat ), and Dick ( Maryborough ). Aged 84.

In 1857, by the time she was 20 years old, on March 2nd, the largest slave auction in US history was begun. Called "The Weeping Time", the auction lasted 2 days. Slave owner Pierce M. Butler - who had inherited the slaves 20 years before but was now deeply in debt - sold 436 men, women, children, and infants, all of whom were kept in stalls at a racetrack in Savannah, Georgia. The people were held for weeks before the auction in the horse stalls.
