  • Introduction

    Robert "Brownie" Brown had a sister, Lena. He also had brothers Earl, Howard, and Ray. His parents were Hibbert G Brown and Maud (Copeland) Brown. In the 1910 federal census, Robert was age 6 and living with his parents and siblings in South Fayette PA. Also in the household were Robert Popeland and George Nutler, boarders. Father Hibbert was a coal miner. Robert married Ann Agnas (Chuey) Brown and they had a daughter, Mrs Jean Wilson (at the time of his death, she was married and living in Xenia OH.) They also had a son, Robert Jackson Brown Jr who perceded him in death in February 1977. In the 1929 city directory for Dayton OH, Rober was listed as married to Anna and he was a "helper". In the 1940 census, they were living in Dayton, they had 2 children - ages, 13 and 5 - and Robert was a printer in publishing. At the time of his death, he had 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
