He had siblings Emily Maud Boykett Freeman, Annie Mason (Boykett) Calder, Ada Ellen Boykett, Frank King Boykett, Charles Bolton Boykett, and Thomas Hebbert Boykett. Robert Boykett married Alice Amelia Thomas in 1905, and died at age 71 years old in 1943 in Ryde, City of Ryde County, NSW.

Still seaworthy, under partial sail, and with one lifeboat missing, what happened on her is still a mystery.
