Roger Evans

I've "rescued" an old photograph of Roger EVANS which was taken at the W. M. Masten Studio in Bedford, IN in the late 1880's. Based on limited information and thanks to a family researcher I was able to gather the following information regarding Roger and his family:

Roger Walter EVANS was b. 24 Jan 1889 in Bedford, IN to parents Walter EVANS and Amelia KERN. Roger was married twice, first to Grace Iva CORPS and later to Beatrice HATCH KIPP (1891-1981 - dau of J. M. HATCH and Ella WILLARD) on 22 Jan 1938 in Steuben, IN. Roger and his first wife Grace may have actually been married twice since two separate marriage dates appear in records (1910 and 1928). Rogers first wife Grace died in July 1937 the same year that their only child, Marilyn Sue EVANS died as a toddler a month after her Mother in Aug 1937, both died of TB. Roger died 23 Nov 1952 in Marshall, MI and is buried in the Oakridge Cemetery in Marshall.

Walter A. EVANS, age 52, born Jan 1848, married 30 years, born IN, parents born IN, a Carpenter
Amelia A. EVANS, wife, age 45, born Nov 1854, married 30 years, 6 children/4 living, born IN, parents born IN
Nora EVANS, dau, age 19, born Mar 1880, born IN
Roger EVANS, son, age 11, born Jan 1889, born IN, a Farm Laborer
Gertrude EVANS, dau, age 9, born Nov 1890, born IN
