TBI agents search home of truck driver accused of violent kidnapping
Posted on June 12, at 4:18 pm:

LOGAN, Ala. (WTVF) — Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents are searching an Alabama home, matching the address of an accused kidnapper.

Roy Michel Nellsch picked up a woman along I-24 in Clarksville. She'd run out of gas and he offered to give her a ride to a gas station. However, she told police he handcuffed her in the truck and told her he was going to raped her and keep her for a couple of days. She was able to fight him off and escape.

Officers later took him into custody and found some of her belongings in the truck. They also say Nellsch could have committed other crimes involving other victims.

On Wednesday, TBI agents conducted a search warrant on a home at the 6000 block of County Road 940 in Logan, Alabama which matches Nellsch's home address.

TBI officials weren't able to release further details since the investigation is active and ongoing.

Tennessee authorities investigating Logan man in kidnapping case
The following was published on June 12, 2019 in The Cullman Times, written by David Palmer:

Tennessee law enforcement agents are in Cullman County searching for clues about a Logan man who was charged in a kidnapping case and is suspected in other crimes.

Tennessee authorities, with the assistance of the Cullman County Sheriff's Office, visited the residence of Roy Michel Nellsch, 62, Wednesday, but no reports of their findings are available

Law enforcement officers in Tennessee arrested the Logan man on May 22 and charged him with one count of especially aggravated kidnapping following a violent interaction earlier that day with a Clarksville woman, from which she was able to escape.

Nellsch remained in the custody of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office on a $500,000 bond.

In recent days, authorities have developed information to suggest Nellsch, who is a truck driver, may be connected to additional crimes with other victims.

Anyone who had an interaction with Nellsch, or who may otherwise be able to assist the ongoing investigation, should contact the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
