I met Sidney only once or twice, as part of my own genealogical and family history search, probably in the mid to late 1980s. Sidney had an office in a building on Wisconsin Ave, just over the border between DC and Maryland. I met him and his wife Marilyn, who was a therapist and, if I recall correctly, worked in the same office building.
I remember two things about Sidney. I was not sure at the time whether we were related, but he swore that I looked like one of his siblings and showed me a photo to 'prove' the point. I wasn't sure there was a resemblance, but he said there was.
The second thing is that Sidney was the brother of Julian Keilson, a famous mathematician who taught at Rochester Institute of Technology.
Many years later, after the fall of the Soviet Union and the opening of civil records in Poland and Lithuania I learned that Sidney's ancestors came from a town called Szaki, which was about 15 miles from the town I knew my family to be from.
