    Circus Ringmaster. Circus Friends Association On behalf of the Council and Membership of the Circus Friends Association of Great Britain, we would like to pass on our condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of former circus artiste and Ringmaster Steven Hugh Garvin also known sometimes as Gavin Stevens. Steven featured in several UK circuses with his Parrot act and domestic Cat acts and acting as Ringmaster, appearing with the Tony Hopkin's Circus Fiesta, Sir Robert Fossett's Circus, Gandey's Royalle's Circus Spectacular at Worthing Pavilion Theatre, Peter Hoffman's McDonalds International Circus on tour in Ireland and as Ringmaster with Planet Circus for a short time during their first season in 2010. Steven sadly passed away on Monday, June 7th, 2021, aged 61. Beloved son to Audrey Croft, brother to Susan Anderson, uncle to Sarah, Charlotte, and Amy Ridley, and a friend to many. If you would like to pay your respects the Cremation will take place Thursday the 24th June 2021 at 10.30 am at the East Riding Crematorium, Cross Road, Octon, Driffield. YO25 3BL. The family has chosen for any donations to be made to The Cats Protection League due to his love of cats especially in his circus days. Thanks to Jon Anton for use of the Parrot act photo taken during the 1991 season with Sir Robert Fossett's Circus.

Please make charitable donations to Cats Protection Steven Hugh Garvin is also known as Gavin Stevens, Sadly Passed Away On Monday, June 7th, 2021 Aged 61 Years. Beloved son to Audrey Croft, brother to Susan Anderson, Uncle to Sarah, Charlotte and Amy Ridley, and friend to many. He certainly was one of a kind and touched the lives of so many. We would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at York ICU who helped look after him to make him comfortable and support us all. If you would like to pay your respects Cremation will take place Thursday the 24th June at 10.30 am at Octon. We have chosen for donations to be made to the Cats Protection League due to his love of cats especially in his circus days. Please wear what you feel comfortable in however we all know how much he loved his crocs so please feel free to join.
