Thomas Walter Knott 1872 - 1937

Thomas Walter Knott was born on October 13, 1872 to John William Knott and Charlotte Bessie (Vessey) Knott, and had siblings Eva Ann (Knott) Minehan, John William Knott, Herbert Edwin Knott, Arthur Albert Knott, Mary Jane (Knott) Fogarty, and Susan (Knott) Young. He married Beatrice Mary (Adams) Knott, and had a child Alma Leila (Knott) Hunt. Thomas Knott died at age 65 years old on November 3, 1937, and was buried at Longley Cemetery 820 Sandfly Rd, in Longley, Kingborough Council County, TAS Australia.

    The Mercury. Hobart. Tas. 4th November 1937. KNOTT. - Passed peacefully away on November 3, at Hobart Public Hospital, after a long and painful illness, Thomas, dearly loved and loving husband of Beatrice Mary Knott, of Nelka. Aged 65 years. A patient sufferer at rest.

Still seaworthy, under partial sail, and with one lifeboat missing, what happened on her is still a mystery.
