Tracey Davis was born on July 5, 1961 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California United States to Sammy Davis Jr. and May Britt, and had siblings Mark Sydney Davis and Jeff Davis. She married Guy Garner in 1986 and they later divorced in 2001. They had children Montana Rae Garner and Sam Garner. She would also marry Jim Cotta and they later divorced. They had children Greer Cotta and Chase Cotta. Tracey Davis died at age 59 years old on November 2, 2020 in Franklin, Williamson County, TN.

In 1961, in the year that Tracey Davis was born, on August 13th, East Germany began erection of what would become the Berlin Wall between East and West Berlin. In one day, they installed barbed wire entanglements and fences (called Barbed Wire Sunday in Germany). On August 17th, the first concrete elements and large blocks were put in place.
Did you know?
In 1970, Tracey was only 9 years old when on May 4th, four students at Kent State University in Ohio were shot and killed by National Guardsmen. The students were at a peaceful demonstration protesting the invasion of Cambodia by US forces. There had been precedent for the killing of American college students. The previous year, on May 15th, Alameda County Sheriffs used shotguns against U.C. Berkeley students at a protest for People's Park. One student died, one was blinded, 128 were injured.
