    Evans, Veta Earlene Parker Funeral services for Veta Earlene Parker Evans, 90 of Leonard, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Leonard with Rev. Morris Robbins officiating. Burial was in the Leonard Cemetery. She died Friday, Jan. 19, 2007 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Visitation was Sunday, Jan. 21, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. She was born Feb. 21, 1916 in Rayston, Tex., the daughter of William Franklin Parker and Jessie Mae Rushing Parker. She married Lewis Albert Evans Jan. 30, 1937, in Littlefield, Tex. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Leonard. She is survived by her daughter, Lou Evans, of Celeste; sister, Wilma Alexander of Littlefield; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Geneva Kincaid of Garland, Ruth Robison of Pleasant Grove, Kenneth and Martha Evans and Clifton and Betty Evans; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
