A photo of Will Lewis, Sheridan. Letter: Sacramento April 1, 1898 'We arrived all OK in Sac and Will took the next train to SF. I got a letter from him and he says he is all right for a job Said the earthquake give him a pretty good scare Woke up with plaster all over the floor' -Bro Jim. Uncle Will worked at the Grand Hotel that summer. He returned to Sheridan & married Hattie Click. They lived at the Click ranch & then moved to San Francisco.

Will Lewis, Sheep Rancher of Placer County
A photo of Will Lewis. Uncle Will moved to the Click ranch when he married Aunt Hatt and worked with her father Daniel Click. Then he ran sheep at his ranch for a number of years before he contracted TB. He went up into the Colorado mountains to a sanitarium. When he got cured, they sold the ranch and moved to San Francisco. They bought a flat on Cabrillo Street and Uncle Will ran an auto garage.

Uncle Walter Visits
Uncle Walter on one of his rare visits, standing with his sister Lou & brother Will. He really didn't know his sisters well since he left the ranch when they were children. He married Mamie Lawrence who had 2 daughters. We never met her & her daughters. When I lived in Alamo, my parents and I went to visit him in San Francisco. His wife had died and he lived alone.
