William Cavil Broome of Bdale Australia was born in 1828 in Kent County, England United Kingdom to John Broome and Martha Pounds Broome. He had a brother George Herbert Broome. He married Frances Adelaide (Humphrey) Broome, and had children Caroline Mary Howlett ( Broome, Alfred Charles Broome, and Robert Saxby Broome. William Broome died at age 73 years old on June 8, 1902 in Nicholson, VIC Australia.

    Snowy River Mail and Tambo and Croajingolong Gazette, June 1902. Mr. W. C. Broome, a well known resident of Lower Nicholson , died as he was driving to church with his wife and family on Saturday last. The Bendigo Advertiser. June 1902. BEREAVEMENT NOTICE. MRS. W. C. BROOME and Family desire to return their sincere thanks for letters of condolence, telegrams and floral tributes received during their recent sad bereavment. The Age, Melbourne, October 1902. WILLS AND REQUESTS. William Cavil Broome, of Lower Nicholson, Bumberrah, farmer and grazier. Death occured on 8th June, and the will is dated 9th August, 1901.Testator left real estate valued at £2000, and personal at £600, to his widow, with provision for it's distribution after her death.

    The Age, Melbourne, June 1902. DEATHS. BROOME.- On the 8th June, at Lower Nicholson, suddenly, William C. Broome, aged 74 years. Ballarat and Geelong papers please copy. The Bairnsdale Advertiser, Tuesday 10 June, 1902. A well known resident of the Nicholson, Mr. W. C. Broome, has passed away. His death will be deeply regretted by a wide circle of friends. He was a good stamp of a man, with a cheerful disposition. The funeral is fixed to take place this afternoon.
