He had siblings Francis King Boykett, Mary Ann Boykett, Hannah Elizabeth (Boykett) Gregory, and Sarah (Boykett) Madden. He married Maria Stephenson Boykett in 1907, and had children Margaret Caroline Boykett, Edith May Boykett, Linda Woodland Boykett, and Beryl Florence Boykett. William Boykett died at age 57 years old on August 9, 1941 in Prahran, City of Stonnington County.
