Zena Dunn: the 18 years I knew & loved her: Zena was my late mother's, Iris Crasnick of Valencia, CA, best friend when we lived in Hollywood, CA; We met Zena @ Bronson Ave., Griffith Park, caves, where a lot of people used to walk their dogs on a daily basis. Zena had her Springer Spaniel, Two-Penny, & we had our German Shepherds, Bonnie & Dulcey. I was 8 years old when I met Zena, & she quickly became a loving part of our family. When we moved to Valencia, CA in 1972, Zena always came to see us with Two-Penny, & I always enjoyed going to her Hollywood apartment to visit/stay the night. She was a "gift of love" to me. Words cannot say just how much I loved her.
I saw her right before her passing, as she was suffering from Lung Cancer & radiation treatments. I took my mother to sadly attend her funeral; I kissed her on her forehead as she was lying in peace in her coffin. I never stopped crying & I will always love her & miss her with all of my heart.
Now, she & my mother can rest in peace together. I miss them both.
