Todd John Stush was born to John and Rosemary Stush and as a youth, Todd earned the coveted Boy Scout Eagle rank. A graduate of Gov. Thomas Johnson High School where he was president of the German Club, he attended the University of Maryland, College Park. While attending the University of Maryland and while at a bar, he got badly injured in a bar fight resulting in a eight month coma and permanent brain damage. Articles from the time detailing the fight and lawsuit are below. Todd's uncle was Gerald Stush of Pearl River New York, his grandparents where Anna (who died on May 6, 1996) and John Stush (who died on June 24 1990). A Todd J. Stush Memorial Fund was established in his memory.

I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth. My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
