He came over from Germany with two or three brothers.
Andrew Bayer was born April 4 1843 in Heidelberg Germany. Went directly to Marion County Indiana. Married Rosanna Larcher. He and 2 brothers got separated at Ellis Island and never contacted the rest of their lives. l don't have their fathers name or either of the brother’s names. They could have remained in New York. Andrew died in Stockton Ca. in 1910 and is buried there.
Rumor has it that Andrew Bayer is the brother to Friedrich Bayer, founder of Bayer Aspirin. I have heard this from different descendents of Andrew’s children.
