Anna Shrive, 1901 Illinois
Anna Elizabeth Shrive, she was a teacher at the Chicago Normal School before she moved to Springdale in Washington State in 1903. She taught school at Walker's Prairie. In March of 1906 she married her long time fiance', John Patrick Stokes in Colville, Wa. and moved to Twisp, Washington where the Stokes family had homesteads. Anna's mother Mary Ann Shrive moved with her and had her own homestead adjoining the Stokes on Frazer Creek.
