Arlene was born Arlene Roberta Altshuler to Estelle (Gray) and Al Altschuler in Bronx, New York and lived most of her life in Hollywood. Better known as Arlene Grayson, she was a Hollywood television producer likely best remembered for being a producer of the highly successful tv series "Boy Meets World" which ran from 1993 until 2000. On her tombstone in Mount Sinai Memorial Park in Los Angeles it reads "She Loved And Was Loved" (See Arlene Grayson: Obituary) Arlene was also the producer of "My Two Dads" (1987-1990), "The Torkelsons" (1991-1992) and "Almost Home" (1993). There are two "in memory of..." dedications made to the Arlene on Boy Meets World on episodes: "The Double Lie" and "My Best Friend's Girl". And the entire 3rd season was dedicated to her memory. I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth. So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her. For more information about what we're building see About AncientFaces. My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
